The Moamena Kamel Foundation acknowledges the pivotal role of the National Cancer Institute (NCI) in serving a sizable patient population throughout Egypt. In order to ensure a high level of service, accommodate more patients and expand the NCI's capacity, the Foundation conducted a thorough needs assessment and provided the following support: The Foundation donated two critical pieces of equipment to the NCI:

An anesthesia machine for the operating room

The NCI operating room was previously limited to a single anesthesia machine, which restricted its ability to accommodate more patients. The Foundation's donation of an additional anesthesia machine has enabled the operating room to increase its capacity by 30% and serve an additional 216 patients over the past six months.

An anesthesia machine for the CT scan unit

The CT scan unit previously offered only non-anesthetized scans, which limited the range of diagnostic and treatment options available to patients. The Foundation's donation of an anesthesia machine has enabled the CT scan unit to provide a wider range of services and accommodate more patients. The machine operates six days a week and serves an average of 20-30 patients per week, resulting in 411 cases over the past six months.

Abbassia Fever Hospital Support

In recognition of the vital role that Abbassia Fever Hospital plays in preventing the spread of infection and treating critical cases, the Moamena Kamel Foundation and Al Mokhtabar Laboratories were keen on studying the hospital's essential needs and providing all necessary maintenance for endoscopic equipment and repairing some intensive care unit devices.
